Organised by the Cultural Network Association espacioGuía, in collaboration with the CAAM, and co-funded by the Ministry of Culture and Historic and Cultural Heritage of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the seminar “LO 1º ES LO 1º: Creatividad Social para el Desarrollo Local” (FIRST THINGS FIRST: Social Creativity for Local Development) is an attempt to move closer, under the criteria of sustainability and well-being, to the strategic value that Art and Design can have in community development processes.
The seminar is part of the programme designed to celebrate the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. In addition, it coincides with the formative and informative activities that the CAAM is developing on design.
Lo 1º es lo 1º, is a theoretical/practical proposal on how to tackle, with creativity and innovation, social transformation, and is brought to us by a teaching team consisting largely of young people, very close in both age and interests to the profile of the potential student to which it is directed.
