WORKSHOP - COURSE Director Isaki Lacuesta Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno - CAAM ![]() MAPS OF THE WORLD Following in the wake of the Novísimos Usos Workshop-Course, organized by the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno, and the last edition of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival, found footage filmmaking reintroduces the idea of audiovisual recycling as a strong argument in favour of the use of domestic video footage and related production techniques associated to digital technology. Departing from this principle, we offer the possibility of creating an open, free and intuitive itinerary without any need for cumbersome equipment in mainstream filmmaking. The aim is to learn how to manipulate existing images and sounds, which are capable of being reinvented with any domestic computer.
This new edition of found footage is presented by the CAAM and the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival in close collaboration with Gran Canaria Espacio Digital, Gran Canaria Island Government, the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Town Hall Tourist Department and the Architects’ Association of the Canary Islands –in the Gran Canaria area of practice, and in pursuit of a single objective: to invent new forms of plastic creation together with the best professionals in the field.
