This CAAM exhibition, curatored by Mª Candelaria Hernández Rodríguez, aims at showing the indigenist movement within the plastic arts from 1920-1950 both in the Canary Islands and in America. The idea is to reveal the relationships between the paintings, the sculptures and the engravings from both sides of the Atlantic; from the Canary Islands and from the Latin American countries involved in the indigenist movement, such as Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Mexico.
